The dimensions of the pansy or viola tricolour are genuinely large, which gives them a magnificent beauty. This edible flower does not provide flavor or smell, instead, it offers an intense colour.
In the kitchen, it offers a greasy texture and a bittersweet taste, making it ideal for salads and even desserts.

The pansy, from the viola family, lives very well under low winter temperatures. This flower gives very colourful flowers and a variety of sizes from autum until the warm weather arrives. In Innoflower we cultivate them in Borobia (Soria), a place where it can grow during the whole summer, thus offering this variety throughout the whole year.
With a sweet, bittersweet and greasy flavor, it is used in the kitchen in salads, desserts and soups. The pansy is a versatile edible flower. It can be added to any type of recipe, even coktails.
Its medicinal use is applicable to respiratory tract disorders due to its emollient and expectorant activity (against cough), although sudorific and diuretic qualities are also known. You can also use them to cure skin diseases in children.
