The lobelia comes from the subfamily Lobeliaceae (from the family Campanulaceae). This flower blooms in tropical places, although some species of this family are seen in cold places. This edible flower is perennial.
In North America use this flower to cure respiratory and muscular diseases, as well as, laxative. Nowadays, its medicinal use is focused on treating asthma and stop-smoking programs, as a relaxing and to fight against nervous depression.
