The dehydrated geranium flower or geranium belongs to the pelargonium genre. This plant is classified as a herbaceous plant and its flowers grow as an inflorescence called Pleiocasio. This flower blooms since spring until the end of summer. The dehydrated geranium has a fruity and acid taste, with an intense pink colour and velvet-like texture.
To use the dehydrated geranium, it won’t be necessary to rehydrate it because its texture is delightful in the mouth. The acid notes it emits in every bite can be added in any recipe: sweet, bitter, acid… Therefore, we can use it just to decorate a sauce, to enhance the taste of a cake, or in a red meat stew.
Dehydration is another way of preserving geranium flower. It consists of softly dehydrating the edible flower, so we obtain a natural and crispy product.
