The coriander flower or Coriandrum sativum is a very aromatic plant. This flower is annual and belongs to the family Apicaceae. From this plant you can consume both its stems, the leafs, roots, seeds and, of course, the flowers (that are edible!).
Its flowers appear in spring and have a white and purple colour. Its flavour is very powerful and with a certain spicy taste. In Latin American culture, it is used a lot for guacamole, due to the spicy contribution it makes to this preparation.
The coriander flower is used mainly for sautéed vegetables, soups, stews, meats, seafood and sauces. The common thing is to use the coriander in the preparation of the food, or put the flower to give a fresh and decorative vision to our plate.
