Description

Bellis daisy

The Bellis daisy or also called Bellis perennis is a herbaceous plant. The biggest peculiarity of this edible flower is the shape it adopts when it grows because it has a similar shape to a button. Its colours are varied and, in Innoflower, you can find it in pink, red and white.

This edible flower does not provide just flavour or smell, but it is the attractiveness of its petals that makes it different from other species: the petals of the Bellis daisy are cylindrical.

Pairing

In the kitchen, it is perfect to decorate either using the whole flower or its petals. Our experimented customers say that the best way to surprise is to scatter petals on the edge of the plate or on top of a sauce. In this way it not only captivates the look of the diner but also provides contrast in colours.

Medicinal properties

In addition, this edible flower contains ingredients such as saponins, polyphenols and polysaccharides, making it a recommended remedy for cosmetics aimed at attacking age spots, freckles and skin pigmentation disorders.
